Eddie Rrokaj has been appointed Project Director for The River Thames Scheme (RTS).

With a foundation in Civil Engineering, Eddie has been navigating the waters of the Environment Agency since 2016, focusing on commercial, contract, and programme management of flood risk capital schemes. After beginning his career with the Thames Estuary Asset Management 2100 (TEAM2100) programme, Eddie has more recently led the EA's Asset and Incident portfolio for the Midlands Hub, managing recovery efforts in the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire in the aftermath of Storms Babet and Henk.

Eddie said: "I am thrilled to be joining the scheme at this key time in its development and leading this pioneering infrastructure project with an exceptionally skilled team. The RTS is a scheme that is breaking new ground by delivering flood mitigation and climate adaptation for communities in Surrey and southwest London. My priorities will include fostering trust, ensuring accountability, and encouraging the delivery of cost-effective solutions across the scheme."
