Non-intrusive survey work has begun
As part of the preparation for the River Thames Scheme, contractors Bam are starting to undertake utility surveys along major roads around where, in future, the River Thames Scheme will be built.
This work allows teams working on the River Thames Scheme to better understand what utility infrastructure exists and what may need to be diverted to accommodate the scheme. These current survey works include running a ground penetrating radar device alongside the verges to identify utility services. For the site areas to be safe for engineers and road users, there maybe temporary traffic lights in place to regulate the traffic.
Works will be carried out at the following locations:
Location | Date |
---|---|
Chertsey Road | 11 September 2023 |
Norlands Lane | 12 September 2023 |
A320 Staines Road | 14 September 2023 |
